Your Battle for Physical Change

If you’ve been training for more than a few months, you know how difficult it can be to add significant amounts of new muscle quickly. I know a 195 pound natural bodybuilder named Jim who had been working out for 9 years at the time. He had size, definition, and good proportions. He confessed that he’d only put on 2 pounds of new muscle the previous year. He worked out 4 days a week. That means he gained less than 0.167 pounds a month. That’s almost like working 40 hours a week for a nickel.

Your story might not be so dramatic. But can you name any other part of your life where you work so hard for such “modest” returns?  And be honest, doesn’t it sometimes seem that your body is actually “fighting back?” Well, the resistance you’re feeling is natural, but not inevitable. And the moment you understand what the resistance is, and why it exists in the first place, you can challenge it and win.

I Have Seen the Enemy... And It Is Me

Joke or truth? Well, unfortunately for all of us bodybuilders it’s both. You see, your body does not like it when you try to make changes to it. Even changes that you think would be an improvement, like gaining muscle or losing fat. You, for example, see muscle as an asset. Your body, however, sees muscle as a liability. That’s because muscle uses up so much energy to maintain. And through evolution, your genetics are hard wired for maximum efficiency. In other words: use as little energy as possible. That’s how your ancestors survived those brutally extreme conditions like famine, ice ages, and scorching heat.   So it’s not surprising that  your body “fights back” when you try to change it. Like adding new muscle. So the “battle lines” are drawn. And they’re clearly defined:

Your body thinks in terms of "EFFICIENCY"
But...
You think in terms of "AESTHETICS"

And if you want to make significant gains, you have to force your body to see things from your point of view. Make it “believe” in your sense of reality. That means you have to force it to adapt to a “totally new set of circumstances.”

Imposing Change on a "Change Resistant" Body

Exercise: Train to Gain

It may seem obvious, but it’s true. It all starts with resistance training. You see, when you “overload” your muscles with more weight than they are accustomed to, you force them to react and adapt to a “new set of circumstances.” Your body “compensates” by adding more muscle fiber. But it adds only enough muscle to meet the demands of the new load you’ve imposed on it. Additional gains in muscle require additional increases in “load” of course.

And if you expect to keep the new muscle you’ve gained (like I’m sure you do), then you have to know how to train so that your body “believes” that the “need” for the new muscle is a permanent condition. If not, it will start dumping that muscle faster than a bankrupt company lays off employees. Check out “Exercise for Muscle Mass.”  You’ll find out the right way to train using “periodization,” so you’ll not only start seeing faster results, you’ll keep seeing results your whole life.

Nutrition: Feeding the Machine

As you can imagine, exercise is just the first part of body transformation. Once you “convince” your body it must change, you then have to give it the “means” to change with the proper nutrition. In "Eating for Muscle Mass" you’ll discover the right way to supply your body with the kind of fuel, energy, and building blocks it needs to effectively carry out your body transformation.

Supplements: Your BIG Advantage!

Let’s face it.  Even with the best training and nutritional plans, it may not be enough. But don’t worry. Today, with the newest supplement technology (used correctly, of course), you have the ability to make the kind of gains once thought impossible. At my research and development centers around the world, we’ve made stunning new discoveries. My NO2 Black, for example, gives you 950% more nitric oxide than previously possible! That’s the power of our new “NOS Up-regulating” technology.  Users are now reporting never-before-seen results. Fast! You also have my new Anabolic Switch with its new ANAMAX Anabolic Wave technology. That’s where the 7 essential creatines flood your muscle cell in precisely-timed “waves.” The continuous “barrage” of creatine into the muscle cell triggers the body’s Anabolic Response Mechanism (ARM). Bodybuilders are reporting gaining 20 lbs of new muscle in one month!  And don’t forget about ProNOS, and it’s revolutionary whey “Fraction Technology.” Just click on “Science Based Supplements” and prepare to be amazed. Okay. Let’s summarize.

In a Nutshell

Exercise: You create maximum need for change (body adaptation).

Nutrition: You supply your body with the optimal amounts of building blocks and energy needed to effectively carry out the changes you want.

Supplements: You maximize the effectiveness of ALL your body’s muscle-building pathways.
